Art & Eyes is pleased to let you know that we will be exhibiting our fantastic collection of eyewear at the Smithsonian Craft2Wear show on October 5, 6 and 7 at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C. As a top fashion designer in New Orleans, LA, we take pride in our quality selection of unique eyewear, and we are very excited for the chance to share it with all of you next month!

In case you aren’t too familiar with this amazing event, here is a little background on Craft2Wear.

The story of Craft2Wear

The Smithsonian Craft2Wear event is produced by the Smithsonian Women’s Committee (SWC), which is run on an all-volunteer basis.

According to information provided by the SWC, the group “solicits, researches and awards grants to Smithsonian projects that bring knowledge, adventure and discovery to the world.”

The funds that make these grants possible are largely collected through two special events: Craft2Wear and the Smithsonian Craft Show. Further funding and support also come from individuals, foundations and corporations who share the Smithsonian’s vision to promote artistic endeavors and give to the SWC Grants Fund. This amazing initiative has provided over $11 million in support to the Smithsonian.

Now is a truly incredible time to be a fashion designer in New Orleans, LA, and Art & Eyes is honored both to exhibit at the Smithsonian and to contribute to its ongoing success.

What you’ll see at Craft2Wear

This highly respected show features a wide variety of limited-edition wearable art, from jewelry to accessories—including eyewear! The event will be held at the National Building Museum, in the Great Hall, located at 401 F Street NW, Washington, DC 20001.

It is accessible by Metro when you take the Red Line to the Judiciary Square Station stop.

The event hours are as follows:

• Thursday: 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. opening night party
• Friday: 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
• Saturday: 10:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
