"I don’t leave reviews lightly (if ever, honestly). We both work in some form of hospitality/customer service and this place delivers on a whole other level, the level that’s only achieved when you have a product you’re proud to showcase and people who enjoy the process.
My boyfriend got his first glasses prescription yesterday and was not excited about it nor about the selection of generic glasses frames at the stores. Even the big luxury brand designer frames didn’t really appeal to him. Fortunately we ended up at this store (which is apparently a glasses shopping destination).. The vibe is maximalist, unpretentious, and very hospitable. Everyone who works there has fantastic personal style so you know you’re in good hands. Hannah knew exactly what he wanted, what would look good on him, curated a really nice selection for him to try out, wasn’t shy about editing her own selection, and didn’t make us feel any pressure to commit. So of course he chose two gorgeous frames and is actually psyched about it. Rarely do I use the word bespoke other than sarcastically, but it really seemed as if they were made for him..
Sure, we didn’t set out to spend that much but it wasn’t that much more than we expected and it’s all independent designers—not big box soulless cookie cutter cheap (or expensive) plastic crap where you’re paying for a chintzy brand logo—and we like to support that. They don’t order duplicates of anything so if you see someone with your glasses, they didn’t get them there. The whole experience was so incredible we were talking about it for hours after"
